Currently, the majority of America’s electricity comes from burning fossil fuels—fuels with unpredictable and rising costs—and demand for electricity is only increasing each year. In addition, the burning of these fuels is harmful to both our health and to our environment and contributes to greenhouse gases that result in global warming.

Clean, sustainable wind energy offers an alternative solution to our energy needs without burning fossil fuels, building power plants, or relying on foreign sources for our fuel. By harnessing this natural resource, Sheffield Wind will provide a local, renewable energy source to Vermont.
